informatie en discussie over samenvoeging Landerd en Uden bij Debatcentrum De Grens
Plaats van handeling: de grote zaal van De Pul in Uden.
Donderdag 8 november tekenen de gemeenteraden van Landerd en Uden een principeakkoord over het samenvoegen tot een Maashorstgemeente. Voor de betrokken bestuurders wellicht gesneden koek, maar de initiatiefnemers van De Grens vragen zich af in hoeverre de inwoners van beide gemeentes hierover zijn ingelicht en vooral wat de consequenties zijn van dit voorgenomen besluit.
In Landerd is met een referendum de mening van de burgers gepeild, maar in Uden lijkt het gesprek met de burger in mindere mate plaats te vinden. Met een debat hopen we iedereen een stem te geven en tevens meer inzicht te verschaffen in de besluitvorming. Voor de initiatiefnemers van Debatcentrum De Grens een mooie aanleiding om de eerste informatie- en debatmiddag te organiseren.
Interactieve middag
Tijdens deze interactieve middag moet het voor de bezoeker duidelijk worden waar de beide gemeenten nu staan en met welke motieven en visie zij de fusie aangaan. Onder andere het Landerdse raadslid Jeroen van den Heuvel van Maashorst Vooruit, het Udense raadslidStan Willems van Jong Uden en fractievoorzitter Mari van der Aalsvoort van Team Meijerijstad uit het al heringedeelde Meierijstad zullen deelnemen aan het debat.

De middag rondom het samengaan van Landerd en Uden tot de gemeente Maashorst is op zondag 4 november in de grote zaal van De Pul, Kapelstraat 13, 5401 EC. De deuren gaan om 13.00 uur open en de start van het debat is om 13.30 uur. De entree is gratis en iedereen is van harte welkom.
